05 Jun Creativity in Motion: Art Experiences in Parkinson
The Moretti Gallery (piazza degli Ottaviani 19/r) will host the exhibition “Creativity in Motion: Art Experiences in Parkinson” from 8 to 10 June, from 3 pm to 6 pm. It is no coincidence that the organizers wanted to entrust the role of forerunner to art. In fact, since 2015, a group of art therapists, that is to say art lovers with a rigorous academic preparation obtained in university courses at New York University, have started to use art sessions as a therapeutic moment for people with Parkinson. In the wake of this art therapy experience, from 2020, some artists and art teachers have begun to offer art lessons in Florence and Vicenza to people with Parkinson’s disease. The exhibition at the Moretti Gallery includes works by patients who have worked in New York, Florence and Vicenza and is open to the public.
