The virulence of COVID-19 is infecting our bodies as well as our minds.
Fear of contagion, mistrust of others, social distancing, which often implies isolation and loneliness, are weakening our balance, especially in those people who already face an illness like Parkinson’s disease, day after day.
The Fresco Foundation, which for years has been in the front line in favour of those affected and their families, now wants to continue to accompany each patient, with even more energy.
This video-conference is intended to help you fight the psychological distress related to the COVID19 emergency from your own home. It will be a chance to meet up virtually so we do not forget that, even in moments like this, we are a community. And above all, it will be a real opportunity to transform our homes into places where to achieve and nurture psychological well-being, through some simple relaxation exercises and stress management techniques.
SPEAKER: Dr. PAOLA ORTELLI
Neuropsychologist
Fresco Parkinson Center in Gravedona
