INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
Pursuant to and for the purposes of the art. 13 of the European Regulation n. 2016/679 (hereinafter “Regulation”), we provide you with the following information relating to the processing of personal data that you provide us with by completing the registration form for ‘ The 2024 Fresco International Workshop on Synaptic Plasticity and Advances in Parkinson’s Disease ‘ (hereinafter “Fresco Symposium 2024”) present on the website www.frescoparkinsoninstitute.com
1. Data controller
The data controller is the Fresco Parkinson Institute Foundation (CF94253250487), with registered office in Via Sant’Apollinar, 10 – 50014 Fiesole (Florence), telephone +39 055 598999, e-mail address info@frescoparkinsoninstitute.it, pec address frescoinstitute@ pec.it, (hereinafter “Fresco Parkinson”).
2. Personal data
Personal data means any information that concerns you and is referable to you.
Specifically, the processing may concern all the data entered by you in the registration form ( hereinafter “Data”).
3. Purpose of the processing
Your data will be processed for the following purposes:
a. registration and participation in the ‘Fresco Symposium 2024’;
b. management of the obligations strictly connected to registration and participation in the Symposium, as well as its planning, such as sending organizational communications or telephone contact in the event that there are necessary clarifications;
c. subscription to the Fresco Parkinson newsletter and subsequent sending, by e-mail, of periodic communications containing information relating to events, meetings, activities and other organized initiatives.
4. Legal basis of the processing
The processing of your data for the purposes indicated in the previous point 3) has a legal basis:
– as regards letters a) and b) in the execution of pre-contractual measures adopted at your request (art. 6.1 b) Regulation) and in the execution of the contract of which you are a party (art. 6.1 b) Regulation);
– as regards letters c) in the consent expressed by you (art. 6.1 a) Regulation).
5. Treatment methods
Within the purposes indicated in the previous point 3), the processing of your data will take place in paper form and using electronic tools, in compliance with the regulatory provisions regarding the processing of personal data, adopting appropriate security measures. The processing of your Data will be managed by Fresco Parkinson internal staff specially trained and instructed to guarantee adequate security and confidentiality, as well as to avoid risks of loss and/or destruction and access by unauthorized parties.
6. Communication and dissemination of Data
Your data will not be disclosed. Within the limits strictly relevant to the purposes indicated in the previous point 3) your Data may be communicated to other subjects who, as data controllers, are involved in the processing ( such as, for example, the companies responsible for the management and maintenance of the IT systems , the company that manages the website).
The updated list of names of data controllers can be requested from Fresco Parkinson by sending a communication via email to info@frescoparkinsoninstitute.it .

7. Data retention period
Your Data will be kept for the period of time strictly necessary to pursue the purposes for which such Data was collected. Specifically, the Data processed for the purposes referred to in the previous point 3) letter:
a) and b) will be kept for a maximum period of 1 month from the conclusion of the Symposium;
– c) will be kept until you revoke your consent, also by unsubscribing according to the methods indicated in the following point 9).
8. Rights of the interested party
With reference to your Data, you have the right to ask Fresco Parkinson, in the manner indicated by the Regulation and without prejudice to the provisions and limitations set out in Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 (Part I – Title I – Chapter III):
– access, in the cases provided for (art. 15 Regulation);
– the rectification of inaccurate data and the integration of incomplete data (art. 16 Regulation);
– the deletion of the Data for the reasons provided (art. 17 Regulation), such as when they are no longer necessary with respect to the purposes indicated above or are not processed in compliance with the Regulation;
– the limitation of processing for the foreseen hypotheses (art. 18 Regulation), as in the case where the accuracy of the Data is contested and its correctness needs to be verified;
– portability, i.e. the right to receive, in the cases provided for (art. 20 of the Regulation), the Data in a structured format commonly used and readable by an automatic device and to transmit said Data to another data controller;
– opposition to processing, in the cases provided for (art. 21 Regulation).
In relation to the purpose referred to in the previous point 3) letter c), you also have the right to withdraw consent at any time without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the revocation. Furthermore, to no longer receive the newsletter, you can click on the “Unsubscribe” / “Unsubscribe” button (phrase to be adapted based on what is indicated in your newsletters) at the bottom of each communication.

9. Complaint
If you believe that the processing of your data violates the provisions contained in the Regulation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Guarantor for the protection of personal data in accordance with the provisions of the art. 77 of the Regulation itself.
10. Nature of the provision of Data
The provision of your Data for the purposes indicated in the previous point 3) letters a) and b) is necessary to allow you to register and participate in the webinar; therefore, failure to provide even partial data will make it objectively impossible to participate. The provision of your Data for the purposes indicated in the previous point 3) letters c), d), is, however, optional; therefore, failure to provide even partial data will not affect your ability to register and participate in the webinar.
11. Transfer of Data abroad
Your Data is stored at the Fresco Parkinson headquarters and on servers located in the European Union.
